Program
The Bronte Epilepsy Research Program, established with the help of Mary Lou and Chris Sordi, is committed to understanding the causes of Epilepsy and finding ways to prevent, treat and cure this complex disabling condition.

Through charitable events and donations, this basic science arm of the UC Davis Comprehensive Epilepsy Program raised money to fund a three-fold Epilepsy research effort: surgical treatment; medical treatment and research; and basic science laboratory research.

This research program has positioned UC Davis to make important discoveries that may lead to eventual cures and has attracted leading experts, such as clinical epileptologist Philip A. Schwartzkroin and his research team from the University of Washington in Seattle.
