by Epilepsy?
Epilepsy and seizures affect over 40 million people in the world and
2.5 million Americans of all ages, at an estimated annual cost of $12.5
billion in direct and indirect costs, in the U.S. alone. In the U.S.,
approximately 181,000 new cases of seizures and Epilepsy occur each
year; tragically, 21% of them will be children; 10% of the American
population will experience a seizure in their lifetimes; and 3% will
develop Epilepsy by age 75.
